Traffic Enforcement

Please remember to follow all traffic laws as you drop your students off and pick them up at Glenknoll. Some parents have reported dangerous traffic situations and we have requested increased traffic enforcement. Help keep our students safe and avoid a costly traffic ticket:

  • Observe Speed Limits in the School Zone
  • Do not park or drop off/pick up students in the “No Parking” zones
  • Observe the Right Turn Only signs when leaving either parking lot
  • Yield for pedestrians who are already in the crosswalk
  • Parents and students: Look both ways before stepping off the curb

Go to the movies!

State Testing

As I wrote in a recent email, students in grades 3-6 will be taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress between April 20 and May 15.  Each class will take the test in six sessions, plus a classroom activity, spread over 6 or more days. Students will take the test in the computer lab or on Chromebooks. This year is the first year that parents will receive the results of the new test. Your students’ results will be mailed to you over the summer. We will continue to use our district made tests for student evaluation, placement, and grading, as well. Fifth grade students will also be taking the state CST Science Test this year.

I would like to encourage you to have your students try out a practice test at home. Detailed information and practice tests are available for your review at

Thank you all for your generous support of the school Jog-a-thon! Our students will be running for fun and prizes on April 17. We hope you can join us as a volunteer. The classroom running schedule will be posted on our website,
