I want to thank all the staff, parents, and students for our great first Trimester. Students have worked hard in their classrooms and had fun as well. Our Red Ribbon Week and Fall Festival were both a great success, and I want to especially thank our students for their great participation and behavior! I would also like to thank all the volunteers that made the events go so smoothly.
For the safety of our students, we lock our gates every day after the 7:50 am “tardy bell” rings. Students should arrive by 7:45 every day so that they have plenty of time to get to class. A bell at 7:47 calls students to line up, and all students should be in class and ready to learn by 7:50 am. If you are on campus and need to stay past 7:50 am, you must exit through the front office.
Also in the interest of safety, no children are allowed in the Workroom. The Workroom contains equipment with moving parts, sharp blades, and very hot surfaces.
The equipment should only be used by adults who have received basic training in its use.
Finally, I want to thank the PTA for providing each of our students with a Glenknoll Distinguished Schools tee shirt! Our kids look great in the new shirts, and I expect to see lots of kids wearing them at our Dine-Out Nights, Spirit Assemblies, and other events. We are proud to be Glenknoll Cougars!
